Winter Hike to Moxie Falls

Maine’s most popular waterfall get’s most of it’s visitors during the summer. However, one of the most special ways to see Moxie Falls is when it’s covered in snow and ice during the winter months. Pack your winter boots or snowshoes and get ready for a gorgeous trek to Maine’s tallest single drop waterfall!

Deer Watching

There may be no snowmobiling but the deer are here! Take a sip of coffee, enjoy a hearty breakfast, and relax as you watch dozens of deer gather in our backyard for the deer feed.

Winter Hike to Mosquito Mountain

Looking for a more adventurous winter hike? Take a journey up to the summit of Mosquito Mountain! The peak at 2215′ offers amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Look west to to see the Bigelow’s and Sugarloaf Mountain. Look north to see Mt. Kineo and Big Moose Mountain. Look southeast for spectacular views of Moxie Bald, Moxie Pond, and Mosquito Pond.

Although the hike is only 2.7 miles long, it is steep which can tire people out. Make sure you bring proper footwear like Microspikes or Snowshoes.
